Who we are

Sandra Hangi, operating Eternal Echoes ("we", "us"), is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website and app. You can contact us about privacy matters through the contact details shown in the app.

What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, country and password (stored encrypted) when you sign up, including via Google sign-in.
• Memorial data — information you provide about a deceased person: name, dates and places of birth, passing and resting place, photographs, life story, music, audio and video files, and your relationship to them.
• Contributions — tributes, emoji tributes, audio messages, visitor-book entries, private chat messages and access requests.
• Usage and technical data — basic log and device information needed to run and secure the service, such as IP address and browser type.

Payment data is collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record and payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

Why we use it

• To create and host memorials and deliver the features you use.
• To manage accounts, sign-in, access requests and invitations.
• To process and confirm purchases and send receipts.
• To moderate reports of disrespectful or violating content.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Who we share it with

• Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and affiliates) — our Merchant of Record and payment provider, which receives the data needed to process your purchase and handle taxes, billing and refunds.
• Hosting, database and storage providers — to run the app and store content securely.
• Other visitors — public memorials and the contributions you choose to leave on them are visible to others according to the memorial's privacy setting (worldwide or private). Private memorials show the deceased's name and basic details but keep the rest locked to people with access.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Memorials are intended to last. We keep account and memorial data for as long as your account or the memorial exists. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time; payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us through the app to exercise these rights.

Security and international transfers

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. Because the service is global, data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.
